Last week same story different day, bright warm morning, not much wind anywhere in Midlands except on the pool.
Water level slightly down giving plenty of parking space, jetty still missing but able to launch and sail all boats there.
Paul and i with the larger power model coped with the choppy water with no problems though Paul sheared a rudder bolt and my rudder pin dropped out but all part of the fun. Pursuits ran well in lively conditions.
Stalwarts Phil with 500 and RAF tender and Ed with sailboat seemed to enjoy things as did new member Tony who sailed his ferry which was marginally powered and went well.
Mel and Richard turned up but did not sail and John complete with crutches was as jovial as ever after hip opp.
The numbers depleted due to holidays the sailing was still enjoyable.
Thank you to the sailboarder from Chasewater club who rescued a couple of stranded craft.
Wednesdays & Sunday mornings not forgetting monthly club meeting chaps 2nd Tuesday 7-7.30 at sailing clubhouse, more the merrier.
