Mark our club chairman would firstly like to say a BIG THANKS to all our club members for attending this event and also a big thanks to Kingsbury Water park MBC for putting such a fantastic days sailing.
Message from our Club Chairman:
Dear Members, this is a reminder to you that Chasewater Model Boat Club will be holding its Regatta on the 7th September 2013.
With the blessing of the Ski CLub and the support of Les & Lynne at the club house, the event will be held at the Ski Club site.
After attending several regattas what is obvious is, that it takes the support of the club as a whole to make them successful.
We have had interest from several model boat clubs who may attend the event.
Because of this I am asking you if you are available on this date to come along and support your club.
Those of you who have not yet been to our new venue, why not come along and enjoy sailing, a bite to eat and if you so wish, a drink at the bar too.
Unfortunately at present we still do not have permission to sail i/c powered boats. Steve and myself are working on your behalf of those of you who have such boats, to resolve this situation and we ask and thank you for your patience.
Regular members of the club that visit the water will appreciate that this is necessary to keep on top of the weeds that are present lurking just under the water surface and that working parties are regularly needed to keep them to a manageable level.
because of this I am asking for volunteers to join me on SATURDAY 27th July, bring along a few gardening tools, for cutting the plant life and help us control the weeds and plantlife.
