Well !! I arrived at the pool today to it being covered yet again in a sheet of ice.

Unfortunately, after walking around the perimiter of the pool and "testing" the ice for depth. At an average of 100m thick, increasing to 15 -20mm thick in places around the pool edge line I considered it too thick to even let me fireboat break this stuff up, so called it a day and came back home.

Appologies to anyone else who turned up this afternoon, but "due to unforseen circumstances", untill the ice melts clear, we are marooned on the shore for a few days again.

here's a few pictures taken today of the ice covering. YEs, our ever faithful bird feeders have let their rubbish fall in to the pool water, this endangering the bords and once the ice clears, "propellers"!
