Sunday sailing update 7/11/17.

The last 2 Sundays have been blighted with, as you would expect now, Seasonally cold windy weather.
The more hardy among us have wrapped up and turned up to enjoy our general chit chat, company, banter and sail a few boats.
The Club 500`s will sail in almost any weather and the waves only add to the mayhem and laughs. I hear that there are a few new ones being built over the Winter ready for next years races.
Two weeks ago we ended with not one boat running and had a great time. I got some much needed exercise rowing Tigger the recovery boat.
last week we used the lagoon, Don with his fast Cat, Phil with Sea Commander, Ed with his Dragon Force, Paul and me with 500`s & Alan all enjoyed a cold but fun hour or so to blow the cobwebs out.
Note**
This Tuesday 14th is our last meeting this year prior to the Christmas meal, at The Turf, in place of our December meet. It would be nice to see as many members as possible in the Sailing Club house at 7-7.30 pm for a beer and chat.
Please can you bring your money to pay for the Christmas meal or at least the £5.00 deposit? Then Terry will not be out of pocket and it makes things simpler on the night of the meal, the second Tuesday in December.
There is planned, subject to the weather, a 500 race on Sunday 19th at the usual time of 10.30. Three races which may change who wins the 2017 years races, of which trophies will be given, at the Christmas meal.
Please take some photos and put on the site and also note the other life vest has surfaced in the box.
Look forward to seeing you there.
I will not be at the pool this Sunday as its Jan`s 60th Birthday and we are away. I hope we can have our 2 minutes silence to remember and respect those that fell during the 1st world war and since.
Pat
