Hi ,
Thank you to Steve and Andy, on behalf of the club, for your sterling work in promoting the Chase water MBC at Huddlesford canal festival on Sunday and for the photos reminding us of classic cars from our youth and certain armoured vehicles.
They set up and manned the stand which looked good hopefully spreading the name of CMBC and the good work of the RNLI. Well done Chaps.
On the theme of festivals i took the good lady and friends to the Chase water Sailing club Beer festival on Saturday evening and it was splendid. Five real ales from the Beowulf brewery at Chase water, Big juggs for the women, of Cocktails, with Ukulele band, doing songs from many decades, providing great entertainment.
Chaps you missed a good evening and chance to mingle with our hosts.
Sunday 24th Sunny, warm but windy saw a few hard core members at the water Tony with fast patrol boat Phil with RAF tender and 500, Piers with a Zoom and poorly 500, Carl with fast proboat and 500 and Simon with his fast cat and to put Ed to shame built and run a 500 in a week.
Good to see Terry back sporting some nice bruising courtesy of NHS having done great work in patching him up again, I had to leave early, Ed, Paul and Vaughan being indisposed provided notes.
See as many of you at Aldridge Sailing club Saturday morning at 10 for return 500 race.
Pat
