Event details:

10 April 2015 is the legendary new day in the boating calendar. That’s when 250 miniature lifeboats will set sail down the Thames in a race for the chance to name one of our D class lifeboats. Every penny raised will go to the RNLI’s lifesaving work.

We want you to be one of those competing. You’ll race along the same one-mile final stretch that the Oxford and Cambridge teams will take on the following day. The competition will be intense, but it’s going to be worth every moment.

There are just 250 places available in this year’s race. Don’t miss out on your chance to take part!

How to sign up
There are two ways you can sign up to take part in this year’s race.

1.  You can register and pay a £20 deposit to secure your place. You’ll have six weeks to raise the remaining £230 and guarantee your boat. We’ll send you a special fundraising pack with tips to help you raise the rest of the funds in time. You could hold a collection in your local pub or go on a sponsored bike ride, or anything else you can think of that helps you fundraise. Our pack also includes a sponsorship form and a collection box to encourage more people to support you.

2.  You can also pay the entry fee in full on the day you register to make sure you’ll be there at the starting line on 10 April 2015.

Don't forget that registration opens on 18 November so get your place and be part something special.
