Sunday 31st July 2011 Saw Chasewater Model Boat clubs very first Bring n Buy event. This was held locally to the club at a community centre near to cannock, Staffordshire.
The event was well promoted, even managing to get mentions in the local press as well as Model Boats magazine. Mark [club chairman] also did some heavy groundwork whilst attending the Model Aircraft show at Cosford.
We did manage to get some of the tables stocked with goodies for sale and had some members from other locally invited clubs attend too, but have to say the attendence from our own club members was very dissappointing, as even if you did not wish to buy another model boat, the tea, coffee and especially the home made cakes were well worth the enttrance fee!
